Paris Air Show 2025: “240 signatures in three days” for Airbus, Bardella and Le Pen expected this Thursday

A roundup of the show's big announcements so far
250 aircraft ordered from Airbus
- Vietjet Air places largest order
Vietnamese airline Vietjet Air, whose fleet consists exclusively of Airbus aircraft, announced on Tuesday an order for 100 A321neo single-aisle aircraft, with a theoretical value of nearly $13 billion. The memorandum of understanding between Vietjet and Airbus includes the potential order of 50 additional aircraft.
- Large carriers for Starlux and EgyptAir
Taiwanese airline Starlux, which already operates an all-Airbus fleet and is looking to expand its network to Europe and the United States, signed a firm order on Wednesday for ten A350-1000s worth a theoretical $3.6 billion. EgyptAir, which already had an order for ten A350-900s, signed for six more of this long-haul variant, smaller than the 1000, for a total theoretical value of $1.9 billion.
- First contract with LOT
Polish airline LOT, a traditional customer of American Boeing and Brazilian Embraer, signed its first contract with Airbus on Monday, with a firm order for 40 A220s to modernize its fleet, with a theoretical value of $3.4 billion. The agreement signed at Le Bourget provides for a future increase to 84 A220 aircraft.
- Saudi companies
It was the first contract signing in front of the press on Monday: Saudi lessor AviLease ordered 30 A320neo single-aisle aircraft and 10 A350F freighters, for a theoretical value of $7 billion, with the possibility of increasing the contract to 22 A350F freighters and 55 A320neo family aircraft.
Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia's new national carrier, has also placed a firm order for 25 A350-1000 widebody aircraft, worth a theoretical $9 billion, with the deal potentially increasing to 50 A350-1000s.
A big order for Embraer
- 60 E175 to SkyWest
Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer announced Wednesday a firm order for 60 E-Jet E175 aircraft from U.S. regional airline SkyWest, valued at $3.6 billion at list prices. The order, which will be delivered as early as 2027, comes with purchase rights for an additional 50 aircraft.
- Portugal buys a 6th Embraer KC-390 Millennium
The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer announced the Portuguese government's decision to acquire a sixth KC-390 Millennium medium-lift military aircraft, following the purchase of the first five in 2019.
Boeing: "Customer support" rather than announcements
Boeing has not announced any contracts since the start of the event on Monday, when it stressed that it was focusing on "supporting its customers" rather than announcing orders during the show, a few days after the crash of an Air India Boeing 787 that killed at least 279 people, the worst air disaster in the world since 2014.
